It wasn’t easy but in the end we did it!

The first edition International Chess Open Island of the Sun

is gone.
 

As many as 20 different nationalities
for a total of 70 players divided between Tournament A and Tournament B.

In Tournament A we had 4 GM and as many IM, and 10 FM for an average ELO of 2189.

The Spanish GM Oleg Korneev is the winner of Tournament A with
7 points out of 9, ahead of Canadian IM Thavandiran Shiyam and French GM Paul Velten.

In Tournament B the victory went to the CM Di Lascio Savino, the Indian Patel Palak and the Polish
Zielinsky complete the podium.
